We just wrapped up the NPE show, a plastic industry tradeshow, and it was one of our most successful shows in a decade! The NPE tradeshow only occurs once every three years and is a lavish affair for the plastics industry to showcase their latest in design and technology- plus learn about new processes and practices that are making the industry more efficient, environmentally friendly and profitable.
The show kicked off with a fashion show comprised of wearable plastics, a ribbon cutting and the whirring to life of myriad production machines; spitting out plastic benches, buckets, baskets, containers and much more for visitors to sample. Double decker booths for the largest companies often had in-house bars and lounges, with the booth in front of us having a nightly live band! A three storied machine ran sheets of plastic down and up and over the crowds to finally deposit completed packages of trash bags, neatly in a bin. Models walked about, luring visitors to touch and sample different plastic media in clear 10 ft. high barrels, while a jazz saxophonist serenaded people passing an international equipment manufacturer.
The festive atmosphere and a surging market made for a very frenetic week for NPE and Pollution Control Products! At our booth, attendees were able to explore one of our ovens in a hands-on approach, while also perusing the array of ‘before and after’ photography we have for a multitude of parts we clean. We had potential clients from all over the world stop at our booth to inquire and price our heat cleaning furnace and to see our digital core temperature controller in action. Representatives for Pollution Control from Europe, Asia and more worked to translate all we do into multiple languages. We even attended a meeting by the Turkish Council of business affairs to plan our trip to Istanbul in May and work to make sure that tradeshow is a success!
