DryCleaner Models For parts with up to 2% combustibles. Maximum 800ºF
DryCleaner Furnaces remove small amounts (1 to 2% by weight) of insulation, varnish, paint, grease, oil, plastics, etc. by pyrolysis or "burning-without-flame." Materials must be cured, meaning no solvent vapors present. The metal parts are heated to 600-800°F (315-427°C) depending on the combustible materials present; the materials on the parts are driven off as smoke. The temperature of the smoke is then raised to 1400°F (760°C) for 1/2 second to completely burn it before discharging it to the atmosphere. The discharged effluent consists primarily of carbon dioxide and water vapor which are invisible, odorless, and harmless. DryCleaner models depend on a simple water spray "fire extinguisher" system based on furnace temperature to prevent any fire that may start in the furnace.

BURNERS AVAILABLE for: 1. Natural Gas 2. Propane Gas 3. Number 2 Fuel Oil
PRIMARY BURNER heats the metal parts to 600-800°F (315-427°C). The volatile materials are driven off as smoke. Burner flame is confined to combustion chamber never touching the parts.
SECONDARY BURNER raises the temperature of the smoke to 1400°F (760°C) for 1/2 second to completely burn it before discharge to the atmosphere.

EXPLOSION RELIEF DOOR(S) automatically opens to relieve excess pressure, then closes preventing air from reaching combustible materials.
EXHAUST EFFLUENT consists primarily of carbon dioxide and water vapor which are invisible, odorless and harmless. | |
